A dip in the lakes.

I worked in the garden on such a glorious morning and Pie & Mash the two outside farm kittens stayed close, playing rough and tumble. They sleep in the garage that has a cat flap in the side door, which they're just learning to jump through as it's propped open during the day. They're going to try and get them using it properly at the wknd when they're here all the time. Lizzie is soft on Pie the male, as he's less nervous and more inquisitive. He's ventured onto the window sills the last couple of days and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to jump in the stable door!
When Lizzie came home we drove over to Windermere for a dip by a quiet boathouse. We swam a fair distance, but were fairly warm getting changed in diminishing sun. We stopped off at Stavely for a peanut butter and Jam gelato. Gorgeous as it was, I soon felt cold and we put the heating on in the car.
Back home we did another Ottolenghi dinner together, before I rang the boys and had an early night.
