Back to the city.
Lizzie doesn't work Thursdays, so we had a slowish morning first thing, reading talking and spending too much time watching the kittens. When I went up to shower, Pie decided to walk up the slate roof, jumping on from the fence below. Lizzie and I got to our open bedroom windows just in time!
She helped me compose a difficult letter and Pie obviously had jumped over the half open stable door as suddenly appeared through the open porch door! Lizzie quickly shooed him out but I don't think that will be the last time!
We drove to Kirby Lonsdale and parked at Devils Bridge, taking a lovely stroll along the river into the town. What a pretty little town it is, with many independent shops and interesting streets. Had lunch at a street cafe sitting outside and soaking up the sun. Little bit of shopping and ice cream, salted pretzel caramel, walking back to the car. A drive back to Oxenholme Station and onwards to Euston on a very busy train. Underground to Liverpool St and Greater Anglia to Chelmsford.I couldn't have done that a few months ago. Happy to be reunited with my boys, but straight away miss the peace.
