Beginning of term

Out with the U3A photography group on Mudeford Sandbank.  The Black House is seventeenth century and, like many old properties in the area, has a smuggling history.

Term is well under way at the school I'm currently patrolling.  Unusually it's a Catholic senior school.  It's huge - every Catholic parent between Poole and  Southampton wants their children to attend.  Local people know not to drive in the locality between 3.15 and 3.30.  The kids swarm across the road in their hundreds.  It was very different when "the brothers" in their black robes and sandals escorted the boys across the road.  No pushing and shoving then!
