Pienza

We left the Maremma hills after breakfast and arrived at our next stop shortly before 1pm. The route was via Montalcino which of course could not be passed by without stopping and making some space in the trunk for a few more red wine cases. We have known our preferred wine producer since 25 years and always visit them when in the region.

The e-bikes got delivered in the evening so that we are all set for a few biking days.

As we have an Apartment on a Podere for the coming days, we can finally again cook ourself. Pienza has many specialist food shops we went by already this afternoon including but not limited to cheese, bakery, butcher, fruits and vegetables and of course fresh pasta.
