At Peter’s in the Wall

Decided to have an adventure this morning. We got up pre dawn and drive up the county to do a circular walk, the highlight of which was St Peter’s in the Wall. A remote 7th century church founded by Saint Ced and built on the foundations of a Roman fort.

Quite a walk - more than 10 miles. We both realised we ain’t as young as we used to be and walking 10 miles over a lot of rough ground takes it out of the old bones!!

Had lunch on way home and ate too many chips. Have subsequently been sleeping on the sun lounger!
