Dinner with friends
The ends had thankfully died down so we’re able to get the awning back up again in the morning. It was pretty damp and needed to dry out.
I walked Phin up into the village to collect our order from the Bread shed. It s only open on a Friday and makes the most delicious poppyseed and rye sourdough. I’d also ordered croissants and sausage rolls and had to take pity in the last pain au raisin and Belgian bun when I went to collect the order.
Mr PHL drove up to meet us and decided he fancied something from the seafood shack so bought a roll with mackerel pate and salad. We enjoyed the sausage rolls and the roll and pate before hitting the Rhu road for a walk. There were too many cows and sheep for Phin to be off lead for most of it but he still enjoyed sniffing around and helping himself to brambles along the way.
Back to the site in time to give It him a run about on the beach, catch up on blip and give him his dinner before we headed back to the village to the pub to meet our friends Stuart and Linda for dinner. They and two others were booked into the bunkhouse overnight before heading over to Eigg for a couple of nights in the morning.
It was a lovely evening, delicious food, the wine and conversation flowed and we were entertained by some local musicians too. We called it a night around 10 and we left the car in the car park and walked back to the campsite. The head torch worked pretty well to light our way.
Thanks to BikerBear for hosting FlowerFriday. My brother gave me these flowers last Sunday and I had to improvise a vase out of a storage jar. They’ve lasted beautifully. I’ve added an extra of some if the other flowers around, including the fried out sea holly I blipped back in June.
Backblipped Saturday for Friday.
