Bonassola

We had an early start as we were catching the intercity train from Milan to Grosseto from Milan Central Station at 08.05. 
We travelled across flat agricultural lands in the Po valley for well over an hour, before the terrain began to get hillier as we approached Genoa. Here the train followed the coast eastwards for another hour, to our stop,Sestri Levante.  Then we caught a very modern, local, train  going to  La Spezia, which stops at many stations. We left it at Bonassola but it would later call at all the villages in the Cinque Terre. We quickly found our hotel and, soon, the rest of the group we will be walking with over the coming week. 
The blip is a view of Bonassola village nestled between the sea and the hills. 
I think we will be having a good time here.
