Thorny problems

An EB of a difficult (but fun) day. I managed to make a quiche, change the bed, and do the ironing, but most of it I spent trying to identify this Grevillea. It's prickly as all get out, and its look-alikes are described as having 'variable' leaves! I got to G. acanthifolia but don't feel convinced. Any suggestions? Maybe the light will dawn on me tomorrow...
