In the playground
Our grandson was up and out early this morning for a haircut at a local barbers while I headed out to pick up a parcel from a local shop in Exmouth. It wasn't a good day weather wise cloudy and rainy.
We had an early lunchtime meal at a favourite pub to celebrate my husbands birthday and our daughters in a few days time. We all had a good meal and by the time it had finished the rain had stopped outside and we walked over to the playground area. We spent a fair amount of time here especially since our grandson attempted to go on the small trampoline. Last time he visited, which was some time ago, he wasn't prepared to step onto it. We were all delighted when he jumped up and down on it and had some fun with it. We were the only ones here and all of us at various times enjoyed a short time on it. I did spent a lot of time walking with the pram around the playground area and then along some of the nearby paths but our youngest grandson wasn't prepared to give into sleep, he was far too interested in the local environment.
It was another lovely day out and we all enjoyed a lighter lunch in the evening including a tomato tart made with the allotment tomatoes. Something we must make again.
