The Winner

Veggie Monster (under 14), not to be confused with Monster Veggie. My allotment neighbour had a monster-sized marrow entered and he’s slightly past being a teenager; failed on both counts. He gave me the marrow, not sure if I won or lost. Hefted it home in my rucksack and it’s sat outside the front door while I search for marrow inspiration. Harvested runner beans, chard, beetroot, sybies, windfall apples and half a dozen rasps while there. All in the gentle rain.
Just finished jarring up some beetroot chutney so that loot is already being depleted. Tastes great!
