The above is a lovely photograph by Margaret Elliot, currently on display in Kirkcudbright Art Gallery as part of the Royal Photographic Society - Scottish Region Annual Exhibition 2023.

The RPS was founded in 1853 to make the art and science of photography more available - and the mission of bringing inspiration, connectivity and creativity through photography to people of all ages and backgrounds.  RPS Scotland is physically the largest of the Regional Hubs with a current membership of 577.  Margaret Elliot is a local photographer based in Dumfries.

We were actually at the Kirkcudbright Art Galleries and Museum today for another reason.  There was a chance to hear about becoming one of the volunteers and to sign up if you wanted.  There are all sorts of different projects going on and it all sounded very interesting.
