Walking in the Cinque Terre

Today we took a train from Bonassola eastwards to Riomaggiore, the furthest of the five coastal villages which make up the Cinque Terre. After a brief look at the village we took the stopping train back to Vernazza from where we began walking eastwards on the Blue Path. My blip is of Vernazza as we ascended above the village. At Prevo, the highest point on this path (208 metres above sea level), we stopped briefly for fresh orange juice. We continued to Corniglia village where we had a delicious slice of cheese and pesto focaccia bread for lunch, and explored this charming village. Then we took the train one stop eastwards to Manarola as shown in the extra blip. By now it was early afternoon and the villages were very busy with visitors. We had an exploration of Manarola village on foot before catching the train back to Bonassola.  So today we visited four of the five villages. We were quite tired not from hard walking but all the activity involved in seeing the villages, and dodging other tourists!
