In the dark
What should have been a new smart meter to read the gas turns out to be anything but smart. It should transmit to a national grid but it can’t pick it up because there are no receptors to the north of us.
Reading it visually now is a nightmare. It’s in a little cellar with no lighting and you have to push a button to get a reading then take photograph of it which is then submitted online to the company website.
God help you if you are not agile and computer literate.
Thanks to Kersko for todays Mon Monday theme in the dark.
My weekly swimming lesson:
Overheard in the Stirling university swimming pool changing room, one elite swimmer to new member:”You need to do 50 lengths to warm up.”
Gulp! One length is my warm up.
I never cease to be amazed at the amount of sheer hard work and time these swimmers are prepared to put in. But that’s the target if you goal is Olympic Gold.
