Doodla-do-do-do-do

Feeling rosy.
A fairly miserable early morning, drizzly wet stuff, but plenty of colour in the garden.
Walked up to the allotment, fed Bobby Robin, then picked French beans, spinach, & 2 corn cobs. Walked up to the town picked a few groceries, then back home.
James arrived at Mum's at 9.30am to give us a quote for cleaning the carpets & 3 piece suite bases. Next I walked Indie. Bumped into Pat & Lola on the heath, they've just returned from their house in Brittany, & good news, they found me some lace panels at a flea market. "Jane's at home, just knock on the door", so I did. Lola is their Alsatian btw :-)
Back home with Mum I started preparing the sweetcorn, & jacket potato to go with the pork ribs for her meal. Went to use microwave, & there was Mum's meal from yesterday... She had "2 holey round things"... Crumpets. Not good enough. Postpone the ribs meal. Cottage pie, carrots & runner beans tonight. She's having trouble using the TV remote control, so we went through the process a couple of times together.
Back to Chudleigh, collected Mum's lounge curtains from launderette, then home for lunch. Second set of Attendance allowance forms arrived in the post along with my new driving licence. Hurrah!! Made a duplicate set of forms, posted original set, along with my old driving licence back to the DVLA. Dropped hubby up to the pub then back home to work through the ironing pile. Freshly laundered bedding out on the whirlygig. Rang Mum to check if she'd managed to switch the TV on okay. Yes she had... More meal confusion. She was trying to prepare the ribs for dinner but did'nt know how to, the corn cob & jacket potato had just come to the boil in a pan of water. "Mum, you were going to have the cottage pie & veggies today, the ribs tomorrow". "We" couldn't find the cottage pie meal, it was'nt in the fridge where I left it, so think Mum must have eaten it at lunchtime, but she can't remember.
Hubby came home not feeling well, so I made him a light vegetable soup for his evening meal. Life is challenging at present.
