Monday: Caye Caulker

It’s Independence Day this week and so there’s a whole range of stuff that my international colleagues and I are being invited to, organised by the government.  

This morning we were taken by catamaran to Caye Caulker where we snorkelled with nurse sharks and sting rays.  It definitely feels odd when they brush against your legs.  We also had lunch on the island which was lovely, even if incredibly hot.  It’s been very pleasant and I’m enjoying chatting to my colleagues who are visiting from elsewhere.

Back to Belize City afterwards and then the drive back to Belmopan, home around 6pm.
