Garden work in the sun

It definitely feels like autumn now. When the wind blows the air is filled with brown birch leaves swirling around. You can see quite a few of them on our lawn here.
I cleared out a weed-filled bed ready for some potatoes next year, and then moved over to help Jan with a rather mammoth task of clearing out the flower bed around our flag pole base. (There's never been a flag pole in our time but it is a handy place to hang one end of a hammock.)
For many years there have been loose strife flowers and ferns growing there and the earth is a tight tangle of roots. Much pulling and then raking with a little digging now and again. By the end of the day we'd got it basically cleared and moved 4 barrows of waste!
The sun was shining but we are getting to the time when it doesn't have so much warmth.
These things are relative so that weak sun, and a temperature of 10°C feels very cool, coming after the summer. In early April the sun will have the same radiant force, and the temperature could also be 10°C, but it will follow winter and I'll be writing how wonderful the sun feels and how warm it has become!! Context is all!
