Poppies to Remember By

Technically this is a back blip as the time is now 3 minutes after midnight, Monday morning in other words. This photo was shot on the way to Carlow for the Arts Festival this morning.
An old farmstead which I have passed many a time and always meant to stop for a blip someday. Well today was the day and the poppies which are always a flower associated with remembrance were out as if to cause me to think about the lives of those who lived here and worked their daily toil in the land round about.
Appropriate, I thought.

Ps. The trip was well worthwhile and the festival will now go down in the diary for future years.
