What a great day!!

Tuesday morning we started our day in the hot tub on our porch, then packed up and headed to Conkle's Hollow. (Extras 1 and 2)  It was truly magical, as we were nearly alone for the entire hike.   Renee and Terry were in awe of the rock formations and the lush scenery.  This hike was really easy after yesterday, and we all really enjoyed it as a warm up for Old Man's Cave.

Last year we were here with our dear friends, Tim (outdoorguy) and Lisa, and Al never would have made it without their help.  This year, he was the one helping his little sister, and it made my heart so happy.  There were a lot more people on this hike, but no water in any of the waterfalls.  Though that was a disappointment, it didn't take away from the first impression this place made on our guests, and they started talking about coming back in the spring when the falls will be full. 

My photo is one of the bridges before you get to the cave, and my extras are a few more from this hike.  Everyone we met was eager to help us out with group photo ops, and we took lots of photos for other couples and families, too.

After working hard for a few hours we headed back to the cabin for hot tub time, poker, and a cookout over the campfire Terry made.

It was such an excellent day!!
