Graceful even in decline, the sunflowers, as we drift into autumn.
Talking of drifting, yesterday's announcements from PM Sunak were not a surprise, backing out of some of the hardly radical government commitments on tackling the climate emergency.  The Tories now think that this kind of tactic will win them votes.  It's a measure of their desperation, and I think - is this wishful thinking? - that this is a deeply mistaken gamble.  I guess we'll find out, sometime in late 2024.
