Bark

A lot of rain last night.  A very puddly dog walk on our street on newly resurfaced pavement. 

Caught up with some household chores this morning. 

OH couldn't open the car doors this morning.  Called the AA who confirmed it wasn't a battery issue but the problem lies in the locking system.  Rang the VW garage who cannot book it in until 5 October.  We go on holiday on 6 October.  Chances of it being fixed by 6 October are very slim.  Another garage also couldn't do anything until 5 October and further one not until December.  It looks like we'll have to hire a car.  We need a fairly large one for the hound.  The vehicles to hire are either too 'compact' or humongous.  Will try to sort something tomorrow.

So much technology to ho wrong wirh cars.  Our last car had what was referred to as 'parasitic battery draining' where something was draining the battery but no garage could locate what exactly was doing so.  It was thoroughly unreliable as a result hence the need to change car.  

Went out with friend Giovanna this afternoon to Emmaus.  I didn't want or need anything but it was interesting to see what they sold or rather what they didn't!  I was amazed at the range of clothes, furniture, crockery, glassware, paintings and books.  I didn't buy anything.  Giovanna bought linen napkins and a painting.

The cafe had closed at 3pm so we drove back to mine for tea and chocolate and banana cake. 

Took Kyro  for a walk at 5pm.

Its been a full day. Could have done without the car's shenanigans.
