Kildalton High Cross - Islay

Or - Crois Chill Daltain - is about 1300 years old and carved from a single piece of stone. It has carved on it a variety of inspired carvings - David slaying the lion, Peacocks feasting on grapes, Cain murdering Abel, The sacrifice of Isaac, four lions, Virgin and child flanked by angels and Circular crosses with snake decorations. Although the picture has some flare I liked it as I imagine the flare to be spirits.
