A sunny patch
In the morning, in Queen Street Gardens. It was dry all day, though cloudier as the day went on, and 5C degrees cooler than yesterday, 13C and a brisk wind. Waited for a patch of sunshine between the clouds to catch this .. the gardens mostly before the leaves start to turn. In extra, a laden crab apple tree. The apples are about 1.5cm across, and as sour as you'd expect, though getting ripe ( I tried one).
Spent more time during the day watching the rare books and maps auction. Didn't buy anything; this auction went much better than the rugs and furniture sale a couple of weeks back, with very few things passed.
