Tate turbine hall
Out not too early, to meet with a local blipper and walk over Blackfriars bridge. Watched two Egyptian geese and almost 20 swans swimming gently upriver with the incoming tide. In the gallery there was assembly going on for a commissioned work by Cecilia Vicuña. Opening 11 October.
On along the S bank to Waterloo bridge, around by the outside of the Courtauld in Somerset House (it's setting up a semi-permanent tent in the courtyard). Found the Inner Temple garden - extra - not just a little courtyard, but a fine greensward with great trees - a mighty oak among the planes. Was visited by a common darter while sitting in the warm afternoon sun. Saw a few bumble bees and a robin, heard a hawk.
Back to the flat to check on other people's operations, and revise my notes for tomorrow.
