Still Here

This is my funky glass filled with almost the foulest drink known to mankind, that drink being dioralyte (rehydration stuff), the foulest drink known to mankind would be the glucose gunk they give you when you have a glucose resistance blood test.

So temperature spiked again during the night, but seems ok now being dehydrated I do have a killer headache. Trying to get my 2.5 pints of water into me, almost a pint down yay, that's on top of the evil drink that I have to have 4 times a day - I need to get extra fluid into me but at least I'm not on a drip or in hospital.

Breakfast today was a most awesome ice lolly :) and I have eaten a slice of toast followed by peptac liquid (seems to be staying put) I have also got some happy bacteria yoghurt for when I'm up to a teaspoon or two.

I have to say that the new NHS Direct service (the 111 one) was very good, I spoke to someone very quickly who did the initial assessment, which then put me through to a nurse, who in turn put me through to a doctor. I barely had to wait between these stages. After speaking to the doctor on the phone they requested that I go and see the out of hours doctor as I was having chest pains, I explained that I couldn't get there and they arranged transport to pick me up and take me home. I was seen very quickly and the appointment was not at all rushed and despite concluding that chest pains where pulled muscles, they still did an ECG to be on the safe side.

So today I am resting, sipping water, sipping a tiny bit of lucozade, grimacing at the dioralyte but being good and persevering, I might even give another slice of toast a go later, or maybe just another ice lolly.
