Snap Happy?

W -e- e -e- e- l l! I did whittle it down to ''Pick any one from 30". It started as 1/150 or thereabouts.
Slowly they were whittled further. All the while this one kept leaping at the pair of us, and finally it won out over a square Vardo, multiseveral assorted waterfalls, acres of Ramsons, a mounted water-buffalo head, an old, wooden, bone-shaker bike and a sign which read:-
"D. MARK THOMPSON
Innkeeper & Waterfall Provider
LICENCED RETAILER
Of Foreign & British Spirits
WINES
ALE PORTER & TOBACCO"

Methinks the sign writer/designer must have lost his supply of commas. I mean ... What the hell IS "Ale Porter"?

The Orchid (Suspected Early Purple, in that it doesn't look like the "Spotty Dorchids" we have at home) was, actually shot in broad daylight with me horizontal like ye proverbial snake-in-the-grass.

Again "Best guess" @ location, can't remember if it was Aysgarth or Hardraw.
