A STRIMMERING WE SHALL GO...
Hello Lovely Blippers,
It is a beautiful sunny morning, so Mr. HCB decided it would be a good idea to strim the long grass that has been the home to lots of pollinators and insects since April - in fact, he also found a little frog in there and managed to catch it and put it in their pond. It’s quite a hard job but you know Mr. HCB, he just gets on with it and Mrs. HCB was watching carefully from the safety of their conservatory.
We decided that we would watch from the windowsill and as you can see, Mr. HCB is raking up the grass - but we wanted to show you a shot of him strimmering too, so there is one at the top left of this collage.
We also wanted to introduce you to a new member of the Silly Saturday Gang - and you can see him sitting between Kevin the Koala and Hoggy - he’s called Puss in Boots and according to a letter received on Thursday, from one of Mrs. HCB’s Blip friends in Ireland, he says:
“My name is Puss in Boots and I’ve been living a very boring life sitting alongside “The Ballet Bunny” in Annie’s house (she’s Mrs. HCB’s Irish Blip Pal). Annie says she’s tired listening to me complaining, so she’s sending me somewhere she says I’ll never be bored again. I think I’m off on a big adventure!!!”
Well, we do hope Puss in Boots won’t be disappointed and of course, he is an upmarket cat because he is specially hand-knitted by Annie. We think that Admirer would be giggling now because I doubt she ever thought a swash-buckling cat would be a member of this Silly Saturday Gang!
We hope you are all enjoying the sunshine - although we heard it was going to rain a lot this weekend, so just as well Mr. HCB has started the work in the garden today. It must be hot out there because he has just taken his jacket off. Mind you, he does have his safety goggles on, which is good - we don’t want any strimmered frogs jumping up into his eyes, do we?
Have a great weekend and remember, BE KIND, and if you can’t be kind, be SILENT!
Love to you all,
The Silly Saturday Gang and Puss in Boots xxxx
PS Mrs HCB is resting - having overdone it on Thursday - not even sure she will go to church tomorrow, which she was hoping to do! :-(
