Late blooming or early flowering?

This anemone is very late blooming as I suspect it's one of the corms that I planted very late last year.

By contrast, the magnolia (see extra) is flowering far too soon. I wouldn't expect to see these flowers until February/March. And there are many buds on the bush.

Seen on a scooter ride with Basil late in the afternoon.

We chanced toasted sandwiches and latte at Finkins while the sky looked fair at lunch time. A shower cloud blew over and deluged us. Never mind, salad is basically water anyway.
