Lindisfarne from Budle Bay
Today's walk was a bit easier than yesterday's, a total of just over 10 miles over generally easier terrain (including the last mile or so along the beach). The route was from Belford to Seahouses via Budle Bay and Bamburgh, with a taste crab sandwich for lunch in Bamburgh.
The main blip is a view across Budle Bay with Lindisfarne Castle just showing up in the distance. The extra shows one of my pals doing as the sign says: he's phoning the signalman to get permission to walk across the main East Coast railway line at a pedestrian level crossing not far out of Belford. Wise advice as the trains travel at well over 100 miles per hour.
