Happy First Day of Fall!
It was partly sunny and a nice day to spend the morning walking the Halifax waterfront. It's sad that the camera club is shutting down, but one of the members is going to organize some photowalks.
The harbor was busy this morning with 2 cruise ships in port and some container ships arriving and departing. Plus the tall ship Silva had regular sailings today. Some of the locals walking the waterfront thought we were with one of the cruise ships because we were walking around with cameras. One couple thought we must be a camera club off a cruise ship. I heard them say that, and told them that no, we are local.
The CSS Acadia is a permanent display on the waterfront. It was not open this morning, but it is open for tours at other times.
Eastern Passage had a summer carnival and the fireworks they had planned had to be delayed. They are supposed to be on tonight, so I am going to take a drive out to see them.
