Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival

At the Budleigh Literary Festival today we went to two inspiring events. Megan McCubbin was first up talking about endangered species, and her new book, an Atlas of Endangered Species.
She is a marvellous  inspirational speaker, and engaging delightful person. I hung on every word. Half an hour later we were listening to the poet Lemn Sissay, equally engaging and delightful, entertaining a full house of 350 or so, in a church - extra. The talks are in a variety of venues, not this little beach hut which is a book shop, with an honesty box. The extra photo shows one of the many satisfied customers. Earlier in the day we went to my favourite bookshop, the public library, where the books are free. It was really busy. Great atmosphere.
