St Mawes Castle
First day of my holiday and it has been very windy and cloudy. A trip to the Lost Gardens of Heligan for lunch followed by a walk around St Mawes was the order of the day.
The castle was constructed during 1549/2 in Henry VIII’s reign as an artillery fort to protect against possible invasion.
