Garden spider( Araneus diadematus )

Well I know i like to keep my garden wild, but you have to chop things back every so often and it is green bin tomorrow. This spider has survived the cull :-).
My daughter has just come back from Mallorca and brought me a present of a sailing ship :-) I can see it fitting on a hat already :-)
