Bee Beetle

Bee beetle Trichius zonatus
The bee beetles are scarab beetles of the subfamily Trichiinae, which is sometimes included in the Cetoniinae as a tribe.
They have hairy sides of the elytra like their relatives, and the upper sides of the elytra are usually yellow with prominent black blotches which form incomplete bands.
This, and the fact that seen from the side they resemble a hairy plump bee, has given them their common name. Wikipedia
In French it is called a Hanneton.
This morning started like a January morning - thick mist, followed by grey skies, rain and wind - the story ended well, with a lovely walk in the forest with Norman and Scooby, where it was warm and sunny.
Summer is back tomorrow - that's official.
Hope you had a good Monday :)
