Painting with sunlight
Another one of those days where the weather changes from one moment to the next; dark clouds, downpours, rainbows, strong winds. Much of the day is spent packing - I’m so slow and inefficient.
There’s a mid-afternoon excursion to Tesco for a few last minute items, and a chance to briefly look out onto the adjacent Conwy valley.
It’s the sort of weather that enhances landscapes, sunlight painting streaks of brightness across the shadows, cloud spilling over hilltops softening outlines into mist.
And then there’s rugby. It’s been a good weekend for the home nations, but it must be said there were an awful lot of jitters in Welsh hearts before tonight’s game in Lyon. Needless to say, we enjoyed it far more than last week’s performance against Portugal.
I’m afraid I’ve had little time to catch up with journals today, but the likely sedentary nature of our time in Madeira should offer plenty of time to catch up!
