Tiara

Before heading home I made a quick trip to the Powerhouse Museum to see the exhibition, '1001 Remarkable Objects'.
I was there for only two hours and saw so much that brought me joy.
It was very difficult to choose just one item, but I'll stop thinking about it and post this tiara.

It was made by Fiona Hall, one of Australia's most prominent contemporary artists.
She made this for her friend, Paula Dawson, in 1990.
It is made of sardine tins and features Australia's grass tree (Xanthorrhoea).

I will definitely have to return, as I've barely scratched the surface.

I just remembered this is my second tiara.
The other one wasn't made out of sardine tins:)
