Coot

I think "coot" is rather old-fashioned slang for a silly person. Well, this silly person has made a nest on a spot that was occupied last year by a pair of moorhens who had a pretty rough season of it. I saw them poking around the area a few weeks back, but since the dead Xmas tree they'd used for a foundation had gone they were evidently discouraged. Not the coots though. I hope they manage to hatch some of their amazing looking coot-lets!

In other news, Aeneas is not having a good time at all.
