Spot the "Midge".

I ought to point out that, so far as we've been concerned all my life, any insect of about the Musca domestica proportions qualifies for the title "midge": not to be confused with yer average English name for the wee "Noseeums" which abound in the "Heelands".
This does not include "Bluebottles" and the yellow one we erroneously referred to as "Cleggs", later identified as "Shit-midges".

We did a micro-wander of town, yielding naught. Returned to prowl the hinterlands garden, going clickclick, clickclick, at Blackbird, Pidjins, Virgin© Balloon passing over, etc. Not to mention the Irises.
It was only after uploading that I spotted said midge, nicely backlit.

During the above prowl I discovered an Iris we'd both forgotten and is due to flower B4 the weekend, and also that the Stipa we've had for lo these many moons ( ≥5yrs ) is about to "gigantea" for the 1st time: so that's another couple of potential Blips.

N.B. Since the software often misrepresents common signs as "?" I suppose I'd better point out that the 5yrs is preceded by the "Greater than or = to" sign.
