Bracket fungi
This old fallen, rotting birch trunk seems to be the perfect growing environment for bracket fungi as there are the remains of several seasons’ growth in various stages of decay, on the trunk and scattered on the ground around. These two are examples of this autumn’s lovely fresh growth.
We have started having a serious look at the contents of our home and making decisions about what things to keep and what to recycle and find another home for. I can see that dusting could be a much easier job once this task is complete, although it could take some time to complete it.
