Before the Rain…..

A cloudy morning…. Maisie and I walked upstream to the Burleigh Bridge and back. There are trees showing off their spring clothing everywhere… from humble catkins to blossoms of all varieties and colours. These cherry blossoms are growing on street trees not far from home. A feast for the eyes. I visited friends Sue and Peter late morning just as rain was setting in. Their garden is starting to look very lovely. This evening I received sad news of the death of a lovely friend of long standing. Our children grew up together and Lin was the wind beneath my wings when I was Mayor and she, my Deputy Mayor many years ago. Rest in peace, lovely Lin. You are a star to be remembered with love.
