The bees are back in town
I've been lamenting the lack of bees in my garden this Spring, perhaps a function of the late departure of Winter. But tonight, a warm and slightly muggy one, bees finally began appearing more frequently. Normally, I find this bumblebee species, the Common Carder Bee, quite difficult to photograph as it doesn't settle for long on any individual flower. But this one obliged and I sneaked my phone close enough for this shot of the bee, long tongue extended into a flower of one of the Geranium cultivars in our garden. I am very happy to see the return of my bee photographic subjects! Joy unconfined!
