Today's the day .......................... for mellow fruitfulness

This is my last picture of the grapes on our vine because, incredibly they are ripe and ready to be eaten.  They are not of huge size and there's quite a few pips to deal with - but they are as sweet as can be and there are lots of bunches.  Can't tell you how chuffed we are!

But more than that, see the extra for something that we have for the first time.  They have a way to go yet before you might think of eating them but they are perfectly formed figs - and there's a fair number of them too.

It must have been all that hot, sunny weather that we enjoyed early on in the spring that tricked them into thinking they were growing somewhere other than Scotland ......................!
