Morning Sky
It didn't stay like that.
It got 'moist'.
Delivering the meals took a bit longer as I had to explain that they had to get their orders in (on-line) by Thursday to remain on the delivery list.
Some were all set, some (as usual) didn't answer the door.
One said she wasn't going to bother as they 'didn't sit well with her' and had been giving to a neighbour (I have no idea what the rest of her family of 4 think about that)
One said he can't afford it (£1.50 per meal at the moment)
One is 'Old School' and had never switched on a computer .... sure he uses his phone though.
One has neither phone nor computer .... the social worker will have to figure something out there.
One has apparently got it done already (although the office says there is no sign of it ..... but will follow up on that).
One doesn't get the benefit until Friday (again, the office are going to sort something out).
I suspect that I will have a lot fewer to deliver next week.
We were just going to get a few things on OAP Discount Day when the brother-in-law phoned.... could we pick up some hearing-aid batteries for his mother and drop them off.
No problem ...dropped off SWMBO at the entrance to the hospital, went and found a parking space and she was out ...with a handful of packets.
When I dropped them off the health care worker was so pleased... both the BILs parents are as deaf as posts .... but at least she is willing to wear her hearing aid (he is a cantankerous old sod made worse by the fact that he is soooo bigoted and the poor health carer is a Muslim woman).
