Went for a wander...

After a trip to the local pharmacy for my Covid and Flu jabs this morning, went for a wander to make the most of the lovely autumn sunshine, reached 19 degrees.

This afternoon a local builder we’ve used before came along to take a look at the leaking roof. There and then he sorted the problem. Wish I’d never bothered with the palaver that was the insurance company! Next problem the car insurance. My renewal price was £242, which the insurer then brought down to £201. Using a price comparison site then got it down to £142, sorted! The insurance on the second car (which my brother drives) is another matter for another day. Tomorrow, time to haggle on the broadband contract renewal!

And now this evening, the first episode of the year of The Great British Bake Off, to be celebrated with a Mince Pie (picked up a fourth box while out this morning). We’re taste testing all the different options so that I’ll know which to stock up on for Christmas!
