Pyramids…

Think we’ll take some time to get ‘back to normal’!

It’s been an amazing holiday. We feel we’ve done far more than could fit into eleven days. We’ve seen pyramids reaching to the sky, walked deep into tombs, been amazed at the wonders of the temples, been fascinated by the Tutankhamen treasures in the Cairo museum, visited Alexandria, been exhilarated by a hot air balloon experience, been up and out early to try to beat the temperatures in the high 30s, sat on deck watching the banks of the Nile go gently by, enjoyed the company of lovely people and appreciated all the knowledge our wonderful guide shared with us, and so much more. Many, many gratefuls.

WiFi on board was expensive and unreliable, roaming also not an option. We’ve been out of contact for eleven days. On arriving back at Heathrow, our phones filled with emails and messages. Fortunately none with news from home that we’d had to trust about. Some catching up to do and some conversations to be had.

Today, Pilates hit hard, the ladies were in good form this afternoon, and three loads of washing have gone through the machine and dried in the gift of a beautiful late summer’s day.
