Gone Wild

Most of the milkweed has gone by but there are a few stragglers like this one that look wild and woolly as their gaping pods tease the wind. Go forth and spread your seeds! The more milkweed the merrier :) • It’s been a productive early fall day. A bit brisk this morning with temps in the low 40s but it warmed up nicely. After groceries I mowed the lawn, and decided it was time to mow the banking in the backyard that’s been left untouched all summer. With the mower deck at 4” I was just able to cut it down. It was tall and thick and damp. I shuddered with every pass wondering who or what I was disturbing. I’ll finish the job this week but tomorrow I’ll rake up today’s cut • Peace & Love
