Making the most of it

I met a friend for coffee at Bromham Mill this morning.  She and her husband did the Cornish coast path with us but A finds walking difficult these days.  They are going down by train next month to stay with our other friends for a few days, which will be good.

After beverages and a shared piece of cake we did a circuit of Bromham Park, which is always pleasant, with surprisingly few people around, although the Mill is busy all the time, as it's the only eatery for several miles.

This afternoon I wandered around the garden and was pleased to spot this pretty bee enjoying what's left of the lavender.
