A good day! Day 6

Disturbed by lorries zooming along the nearby road, and having gone to sleep so early, we were awake before dawn and up before 6 o’clock.
Outside the darkness was just starting to lift with mist drifting around and two bright planets in the sky.
We had a coffee and then took a walk to (successfully) ease Jan’s bad back, and then drove off.
It was a good day on the road and we reached our goal for the day mid-afternoon. This was the Mosel river, just above Koblenz, where it joins the Rhine. Jan found us a brilliant spot to stay (see her blip) high above the river, but the picture shows Jan standing on the edge of the water, our destination for the day!
We sat in the sun, drank beer, listened to cicadas, changed to thinner clothes, ate at the Greek restaurant at the light aircraft airport, watched the moon rise, and really felt we were on holiday.
Another early night but probably a slower day tomorrow, as we drive along the river and do a little sightseeing along the way. Will we reach France? Fate will decide!
