That’s My Girl

The lead up to this week has seen Sam ‘nervcited’, having never set foot on a rugby pitch except to train and that only a couple of months ago to playing in a competitive match today.
For Falmouth Rugby Club to get to this point it’s been 150 years, the first Falmouth Women’s Team.
The largest crowd of the season to date were treated to a really good match, Plymstock Albion Oaks Ladies 2’s are no slouches, they’ve been around a while and provided good competition in a match played in the best of spirits. They ran out 20-26 winners but to use an old cliche, today the score didn’t matter.
Tears of joy from some, including Sam at the end, an emotional day.
The food I’d prepared went down really well, not much left over and the vegan dish seemed the favourite.
Mrs S and I headed home to let Sam enjoy her day with her teammates.
Take out from the Meat Counter provided the evening meal.
Mrs S anticipating the dirty rugby kit appearing in various rooms at the weekend the only downside.
