Knightshayes Court

Went with friends to the excellent Knightshayes Court in Devon. I'd been in the garden before, but not the house, which is a wonderful Gothic Revival brick building designed by William Burges. It has been restored to the period (1870s) with freshly made wallpaper, elaborate reconstructed ceilings and period furniture, including some of Burges' original pieces made for the house. I wanted to blip the Pre-Raphaelite painted book case but sadly no photography in the house.

The gardens were wonderful too, with deep, colourful borders.
