Exciting news
MrMacD received an email this morning advising that the team from the solar company would be heading our way on Tuesday to start the installation of the solar panels. At last something is happening! We have a few balls up in the air at the moment and this is the first one to come into play.
MrMacD tested the aerosol paint for me, then we decided he should paint the handles with it. They look very glitzy now. After that experiment MrMacD gardened while I painted. This sideboard is a big experiment and will definitely bring some colour into the dining room.
We went out for a walk and popped into the saddlery that’s making the squabs for the window seats. The fabric has arrived but they haven’t been started yet. They thought maybe next week, which probably means the week after. Patience!!
I took a photo of the Kingfisher “sculpture” that is now hanging on the wall by the front door this morning. He looks very good there. After that I went for a walk around the garden and took photos of all the beautiful tulips that have popped up. They are such a joy to behold. The Kingfisher and the tulips are in the main blip and the first extra.
As we walked through the Oamaru Public Gardens we passed a couple of flax bushes by a pond. MrMacD suddenly noticed that someone has had fun weaving some of the flax leaves, so I took some photos and that collage is the second extra.
